ವಚನ ದಾಸೋಹ

ವಚನ:

ಕರಸ್ಥಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಿಂಗವಿರಲು

ಆ ಹಸ್ತವೇ ಕೈಲಾಸ, ಈ ಲಿಂಗವೇ ಶಿವನು.

ಇದು ಕಾರಣ, ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕೈಲಾಸ.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೇರೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಬೆಟ್ಟವೇ ಕೈಲಾಸವೆಂದು,

ಅಲ್ಲಿಪ್ಪ ರುದ್ರನೇ ಶಿವನೆಂದು,

ಕೈಲಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದಹೆ ಬಂದಹೆನೆಂಬ 

ಭ್ರಾಂತು ಬೇಡ ಕೇಳಿರಣ್ಣಾ. 

ಕಾಯದ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಲಿಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಇರಲು, ಇನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಿಯ ನಂಬುಗೆಯಯ್ಯಾ?

ಅಲ್ಲಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಹಂಚಾಗಿ ಕೆಡಬೇಡ ಕೇಳಿರಣ್ಣಾ, 

ಅಂಗದೊಳಗೆ ಲಿಂಗಾಂಗ ಸಂಗವನರಿತು,

ಒಳಹೊರಗು ಒಂದೇಯಾಗಿ,

ಶಿಖಿಕರ್ಪುರ ಸಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ಪುರ ಉರಿಯಾಗಿಪ್ಪಂತೆ, 

ಸರ್ವಾಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಿಂಗಸೋಂಕಿ, ಅಂಗಭಾವವಳಿದು, 

ಲಿಂಗಭಾವ ತನ್ಮಯವಾಗಿಪ್ಪ,

ತದ್ಗತ ಸುಖ ಉಪಮಾತೀತವಯ್ಯಾ, 

ಸೌರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ಸೋಮೇಶ್ವರಾ.

Translation:

While Linga is in the palm 

that palm is Kailaasa, 

that Linga is Shiva. 

Do not fall into the delusion that there is some other silver hill called Kailaasa and Rudra staying there is Shiva and of going and coming back from Kailaasa. 

If you do not have faith in the blessed Ishtalinga what faith can you have? 

Knowing the relation between Linga and Anga , 

both becoming one as camphor becomes flame in union with flame. 

Being touched by the Linga

 the body becomes only Linga.

This happiness is beyond comparison, Oh God Saurashtra Someshwara.

Sharan Aadayya:

Adayya hailed from Sourashtra. He came to Puligere, present Lakshmeshwara, for trading and business purpose. He later settled down there itself and married Padmavati. He  brought Someshwara Linga from Saurashtra and established at Puligere.
