Mahanada

Mahanada:
Mahanada belongs to Ajñā System above Indu chakra and below Nirvana chakra of Sahasrara system.

Mahanada

Above the Indu Chakra and closely related is the site of Mahanada.
Nada means sound, tone, or vibration. Nada Veda says the universe was created as pure vibration. They called this cosmic sound Nada-Brahman, and it is the sound vibration of the "Om ", a pure unstruck first sound of Universe.

The name of this chakra means Great Sound, and it is in the shape of a plough. It represents the primal sound Om   from which emanates all of creation.
Maha-nada. Nada means “mystic sound,” and Maha means “Great.” During the Creation  energy expansion in universal consciousness occurs. That creates the first  vibration, the primal sound from which all creation emanates. It is the mystic sound of the Eternal, the first manifestation of the unmanifested Absolute, the first movement, the first energy to create. Nada is the mystic sound of the Eternal. Nāda is  the primal sound or first vibration from which all the creation has emanated. Sound means vibration and this vibration creates the object that corresponds to its frequency. The reverse is also true. The object also becomes  vibrations. Everything vibrates to its own keynote.

The mahanada is like a plough in shape because it is considered to be only half of Shiva. The other half is Shakti. Its creation resembles the spraying out of a huge explosion.
Mahanada:
In Creation, Mahanada is the intermediate causal body, and we find here the first actual movement to create.  So there is  power there which wants to make something ; There is an intention to do something. This is known as  Iccha-Shakti or creative-will. Iccha Shakti arises and the attention is focused on the task.

During the Creation, the vibrations from Parabindu create the essences or Tattvas. The Parabindu explodes into all the different essences that are the foundation for all of the reality or foundation for the universe. Parabindu produces Trinity. Trinity of creation are known with different names in different cultures.  Three emanations occur  which are Bindu, Kale (bija) and Nada. Bindu is the Shiva aspect, Kale is the Shakti aspect as Bodhini, and Nada is the union of the two.
Trinity :
Different cultures name Trinity as
Nada Bindu, Kala
Nada, Bindu, Bija
Tripura-sundari
Nada, Bindu, Bodhini
Sadahkya, Ishwara, Shuddha-Vidya.
Kamakala triangle.
All of these are just different ways of conceptualizing the process of one becoming three.
From the Trinity Creation proceeds to Manifestation.
Manifestation:
The triad of feeling, knowing and doing or Iccha Shakti(feeling), Jnana Shakti(knowing), Kriya Shakti(doing) are patterns from which manifestation occurs.
The word Iccha means intention. It comprises the desire, the feeling, the  willingness to create. Intention is a feeling, it knows what it wants, and it begins to act to achieve the goal. It also inspires the willingness to the doing. So it brings together the triad. This Intention or Iccha itself is the keynote of Mahanada.

In Dissolution, it goes in the reverse order Nivratti marg in Sadhana, to reach Aikya or Samadhi stage  we should withdraw our feelings and sensations (Jnyanedriyas), Kriya by sitting in a firm stable asana (Karmendriyas), Karanas (Jnana, Chitta, Buddhi, Aham (Karanendriyas)  into only Intention. Here the intention is -  to achieve Oneness by merging with Param or Parashiva. What it means is in deeper level of meditation sadhaka or devotee becomes consciously aware of the intention to Oneness. This happens only after he withdraws from sense organs, sensations, withdraws from all activity (Kriya), withdraws from  knowledge, withdraws from Self. Only Awareness remains. At this stage of Awareness, he becomes aware of the purpose of his life. Why did I come into a body?  What was my intention? The answer to this question will be different for each individual, so each of us should discover it for oneself.  And should construct life based on that awareness.

Sabdabrahman and Mahanada:
Shabda and Mahanada are different. Shabda is a sound power and Mahanada is the actual movement to create.  It is also called Sabda Brahman or Omkara.  It can be heard internally as the Anahata sound.

Nadayoga:

Nada Yoga or yoga of sound is “union with God through sound”. Nada Yoga is an Indian spiritual technique to turn your perception of hearing inwards to listen for the pure sounds originiating within oneself. This mystical sounds are ten types (Dasha-Nadas) ranges from loud drums, soft flutes, buzzing bees,  shimmering gongs to the sound of clouds. This sacred sound practice also utilizes chanting mantras and listening to meditative external music like Indian classical music.

Nada yoga is a practice of deep internal listening with the goal of hearing the sound of anahata-nada, Anahata-nada is our own inner, unstruck sound that is inaccessible to others but accessible to oneself in deep meditation. Anahata nada is produced and heard from inside of us  from Sushumna nadi, the central energy channel in deep meditation.
Nada yoga techniques:
Concentration,
Dhyana (meditation)
Dharana
Prerequisite- Sushumna nadi, where Anahata nada is produced, should be purified with pranayama practice.
Ahata Nada yoga :
Ahata nada yoga is listening to  external sound and it's practice  is accessible for all. Ahata nada yoga, is selecting some soft, calming music to listen sitting in a comfortable meditation pose.  Focus all of your attention on the sounds of the music, and when thoughts arise, bring your focus back to the music. Headphones help to focus on the sounds of the music. Meditate on these external sounds for 10-15 minutes once or twice a day using the same soundtrack music. Over time, reduce the sound  volume  to strengthen the listening abilities and concentration.
Music can be a powerful spiritual tool. The ability to discover, listen, and focus through Ahata-nada is an accessible way to hone your concentration. Learning to listen with your full attention while simultaneously quieting the mind is a valuable tool to increase concentration.
The technique of Nada yoga :
The primary stage of Nada yoga is Pratyahara, turning off the sensations from the sense organs and tuning into the inner aliveness of being or Awareness. The two other preliminary yoga practices are Dharana, one-pointed concentration.
