Third eye
*Third Eye*:
The third eye (inner eye) is a mystical invisible eye, usually depicted as located on the forehead. The third eye is often associated with Intution, clairvoyance, precognition, and out-of-body experiences. When you raise your consciousness and the third eye opens, you can see, perceive and understand any matter with clarity, even the nature of yourself and your existence. The third eye often symbolizes a state of enlightenment.
The Rishis of India understood this in the bhrumadhya as the Ajna Chakra. Many sects and traditions symbolize the Ajna Chakra by an open eye, shown on the forehead of a deity. In Hinduism and Buddhism, the third eye is said to be located around the middle of the forehead, slightly above the junction of the eyebrows, representing the enlightenment one has achieved through meditation. Adiyogi Shiva and Shakti, have a third eye on the forehead. Hindu women wear a tilaka on their forehead at all times.During any religious occasion a tilaka is placed on the forehead of all people. This tilaka symbolizes the Ajna chakra.
The mystics of ancient Greece knew of the Ajna chakra. Plato wrote: "In all men there is the eye of the soul, which can be re-awakened by the correct means. It is far more precious than ten thousand physical eyes." There are many methods of helping to open up the Ajna. Plato was initiated by a mystical sect and was the disciple of Socrates; he therefore utilized the methods that he was taught.
Many statues of Buddha indicate the Ajna Chakra by a jewel placed at the eyebrow centre. This is the divine eye of perception that Buddha awakened when he sat under the Bodhi tree and was enlightened. This lead to the opening Sahasrara chakra indicated by a large number of petals around the head of Buddha. Buddhists regard the third eye as the "eye of consciousness", representing the vantage point from which enlightenment beyond one's physical sight is achieved, and use an urna to the same effect.
The "One Eye" symbol have been used by Egyptians, Christians, Freemasons, Illuminati. For Freemasonry, the vision of the Cyclops; within the Egyptian tradition it is known as the eye of Horus. The All-Seeing Eye of God, originated from The "Eye of Horus" in Egyptian Mythology. It is known as the third eye or the spiritual eye or pineal gland. It is same as Lucifer the Spiritual light. The eye of Horus accurately corresponds to the structures of the brain. In the ancient temples of Sumerians and Babylonians, there was worship of the pineal and can be seen on hieroglyphics on the walls of the pyramids. Rumi says "My Soul, you're the light of my eyes. Where I am, he said, no need for eyes".
Many people, such as the ancient Egyptians and the American Indians, wore special head garments that symbolized the third eye at the eyebrow centre. Often a snake is shown emerging from the forehead, indicating that the kundalini rises through Ajna via Sushumna.
*Pineal gland*:
The pineal gland is a midline brain structure that is unpaired. The shape of the gland resembles a pine cone, which gives it its name. The pineal gland is located near the center of the brain, between the two hemispheres, tucked in a groove where the two halves of the thalamus join. It is located behind the third ventricle and is bathed in cerebrospinal fluid supplied through a small pineal recess of the third ventricle which projects into the stalk of the gland. The pineal gland is one of the neuro-endocrine secretory organs in which capillaries are permeable to solutes. The gland is reddish-gray and about the size of a grain of rice (5–8 mm) in humans. Devloped from Neural ectoderm at roof of diencephalon.
Artery - It has profuse blood flow, second only to the kidneys, supplied from the choroidal branches of the posterior cerebral artery.
Nerve supply - The pineal gland receives a sympathetic innervation from the superior cervical ganglion. A parasympathetic innervation from the pterygopalatine and otic ganglia is also present. Some nerve fibers penetrate into the pineal gland via the pineal stalk. Also, neurons in the trigeminal ganglion innervate the gland with nerve fibers containing the neuropeptide PACAP.
The pineal body in humans consists of a lobular parenchyma of pinealocytes surrounded by connective tissue spaces. The gland's surface is covered by a pial capsule. The pinealocytes consist of a cell body with 4–6 processes emerging. Pinealocytes produce and secrete melatonin.
The human pineal gland grows in size until about 1–2 years of age, remaining stable thereafter although its weight increases gradually from puberty onwards. When puberty arrives, melatonin production is reduced.
Melatonin:
The pineal gland produces melatonin, a serotonin-derived hormone which modulates sleep patterns in both circadian and seasonal cycles.
Mechanism - Melatonin production is stimulated by darkness and inhibited by light. Light sensitive nerve cells in the retina detect light and send this signal to the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN), synchronizing it to the day-night cycle. Nerve fibers then relay the daylight information from the SCN to the paraventricular nuclei (PVN), then to the spinal cord and via the sympathetic system to superior cervical ganglia (SCG), and from there into the pineal gland.
The deficiency of melatonin causes insomnia and depression. It is present in some foods such as oats, corn, tomatoes, potatoes, nuts, rice and cherries.
DMT-
One more substance secreated by pineal gland is DMT (dimethyltryptamine) also known as the spiritual molecule. It releases during the dream phase. It is responsible for visualizing images in dreams.
Pineal gland is a kind of atrophied photoreceptor. Pineal gland, which maintains light sensitivity, is responsible for the production and release of DMT (dimethyltryptamine), an entheogen excreted in large quantities at the moments of birth and death.
The DMT is so powerful that it can carry man's consciousness through time travel and dimensions. In the immediate state before death, a lot of DMT is produced, so you are credited with the ability to enter consciousness into higher dimensions, achieves mystical or interdimensional states, is the most powerful hallucinogenic or entheogenic found in the wild, in all plants and animals.
Meditation offers the portal to practice and grow your abilities in higher dimensions of being, what we would call super natural state
The word pineal, from Latin pinea (pine-cone), was first used in the late 17th century to refer to the cone shape of the brain gland. But deities holding pine cone are seen in some sculptures in ancient Indian temples indicating in ancient India people knew the cone structure of pineal gland it's relation to enlightenment.
