Meditation

Meditation:
Meditation  is the most important part of all yogic pathways.

What is Meditation?
Meditation is  being contented in your own self; feeling blessed in your own being. It is a  state of consciousness where you are not doing anything. Meditation teaches us to separate self from the mind by becoming a witness to our thoughts. Meditation is the only way by which we separate self from the world surrounding us.

What is the experience like?
You are looking at the light with your closed eyes. You know you are not that light, you are the observer who is looking at it. When you look at a  flower,  you are not the flower, you are the watcher or the observer. Similarly when you watch the thoughts coming and subsiding  you realise that you are not those thoughts but only the observer of those thoughts arising and subsiding just like waves in a sea.You learn gradually not to react to those thoughts both good and bad.You learn to distance yourself from those thoughts.

 Why meditation is important?
In between the two thoughts there is a gap, a moment of silence. This is the  moment of space, moment of stillness, moment of bliss, moment of Chit. With continued regular practice the gap increases. In these still moments you will know who you are and the mystery of  existence. These are the moments of your Manifesting power. These are the moments of your Inner Healing.

Meditation is our natural state.
Whatsoever we do, we do through our mind. Whatever we achieve, we achieve through the mind.
 Only  exception is Meditation.
"Yes, except meditation, everything is done by the mind. Everything is done by the mind except meditation because meditation is not an act
It is our natural state, Sahaja sthiti.
In times when stress, tension, worry, lonliness and grief overwhelm us, the meditation reconnects  our sacred inner self  to cosmic energy which heals us physically and mentally.
Meditative state is our intrinsic deep down nature. It is Self, our Being, the Natural state. It is the Aham or real self state.
